About the Conference

Annual Joint Conference
Each May, the North Carolina Treasury Management Association (NCTMA) and the South Carolina Association for Financial Professionals (SCAFP) hold a joint Treasury Management Conference. For the most recent years, the conference has been held at the Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC. The two and one-half days conference provides excellent networking and educational opportunities. The May 2011 conference marks the 27th anniversary of our longstanding tradition.
Two Options to Select From
Attendees can elect to either participate in the series of general and concurrent sessions (Current Events Track), which are geared to basic, intermediate and advanced level topics relating to treasury management; or they can participate in the special CTP Exam Prep Track, which is offered to individuals desirous of seeking the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification. The CTP Exam Track is also beneficial to those attendees new to the treasury/cash management field.
Current Events Track
All general and concurrent sessions (Current Events Track) are open to all attendees and sessions have no prerequisites required for participation unless otherwise stated in its description. The session format is group sessions and no advanced preparation is necessary. For the past three years there has been a special session held on Tuesday. It was decided that this year we would take a break from this tradition to allow more participants to enjoy the concurrent sessions. Tuesday's Intensive Workshop will return in the future.
CTP Exam Prep Track
The CTP Exam Prep Track will follow a formal review course structure. The topics will be presented in a format that mirrors the 2nd edition of “Essential of Treasury Management.” Study outlines will be provided to facilitate note-taking and later review of the material. Practice questions also will be provided for post-conference review to measure comprehension. Sample tests will be given to test your progress.
CCM/CTP Credits
The 2010 conference was eligible for up to 14 CCM/CTP renewal credits by the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) Certification Committee. These credits have been confirmed with AFP. A CTP form will be provided with the conference materials when checking in.
CPE Credits
Attendance at the conference sessions sponsored by the NCTMA and SCAFP have been eligible for up to 14 CTE Credits in the past. The NCTMA and SCAFP are registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to: NASBA, 150 Fourth Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37219-2417. A special code will be provided at the end of each current events sessions to allow for proper documentation of attendance.
Tuesday Nite Event
Attendees enjoy themselves at the Tuesday Night Event, which includes a reception, dinner, and interactive entertainment.
